Hello All - MA found this old photo of the Fishers (Dad, myself, sister Mary Margaret and Mom) having brunch at the El Rancho in Sacramento. One and a half year old John was home wth a baby sitter. This was something Mom and Dad did on occasion to gve their kids some couth.

I love this picture! Doesn't Mom look great. I remember another time when Mom and Dad took us to dinner and dancing. I could have danced all night, with my Dad!
Sophie - The photo was taken in the Fall of 1945. Dad was 39, I was 13, Your great aunt Mary was 9 and Mom was 36. At the time we lived in Oakland, CA, and it wasn't uncommon for Mom and Dad to take us to a nice place to eat, sometimes 100 miles away, usually after Church on a Sunday.
Oops - I can't subtract. Mary was five.
