Road Trip to McCall, Idaho and Other Places

Mary Anne and I recently got back from a 3400 mile road trip where we went to McCall Idaho (via Page Arizona, Provo, Utah and Twin Falls Idaho and spent three days with sister Mary Margaret. From McCall we went to San Francisco (via Beautiful Winnimucca, Nevada) and spent a couple of days. Mary Anne gets restless if she doesn't get her San Francisco fix every once and a while. From there, we went to Modesto (stopping for lunch with Paula Shideler and her grandson, Tom) to spend three days with brother John, wife, Jan, their daughter, Wendi and her husband, Bryan. While in Modesto we drove out to Oakdale to have lunch with Mary Anne's childhood buddy, Elyse Clark, husband Gary and daughter Roxanne. From Modesto we drove to Thousand Oaks, California and spent three days with Pat and Stan Nelson. And, finally, we drove home to Green Valley. While in McCall we checked out the Ponderosa State Park where the Fisher reunion is planned for next July. I took a few pictures of the park and McCall environs and they are posted on "Fisher Trip Photos," linked to this Blog. Also, while roaming around San Francisco I remembered a circa 1912 photo of my maternal grandmother and mother on the beach south from the Cliff House. We went out to the beach and a grabbed a photo from about the same place. those two photos are above.

Thanks for taking these pictures. I'm glad you thought it was a nice place for a reunion. I'll be collecting info to send to everyone about recreation and cultural opportunities.
